Balances

Understanding your financial position at any given point in time is critical for making informed business decisions. The Balances feature provides a clear, real-time snapshot of your company’s financial standing by consolidating data across all accounts and subsidiaries. It also allows you to publish balance snapshots as of any selected date.

Whether you’re reviewing current balances or analyzing historical trends, this feature ensures transparency, accuracy, and accountability in your financial operations. With flexible date selection and access to balance history, you can monitor changes over time, identify anomalies, and support strategic planning with reliable financial insights.

Understanding the Balances and Balances history screens

Tresio provides two key views to help you monitor your company’s financial position: Balances and Balances history. Both screens display detailed account-level information in a consistent column format, giving you transparency into your cash positions across all linked accounts.

Here’s a breakdown of each column you’ll see:

  • Source – the integration type used to import your balance details
  • Company – the name of the company associated with the account balance
  • Bank – the name of the bank that holds the account
  • Account name an internal label where you can assign custom names or purposes to your accounts
  • Account number – captures the official account number
  • Balance – bank account balance
  • Currency the specific currency in which a bank account is denominated
  • Balance Date: The date the bank reported the balance — reflects the official balance date from the bank’s response
  • Change Date: The last known date when the balance actually changed — shows account activity, not just data updates.
  • Update Date: The most recent date we successfully retrieved balance data from the bank — may differ from the balance or change dates.

Balances page

The Balances page displays the current balance as of the selected Report Date.

The Report date – you can choose any date to view all accounts for the selected company, including its subsidiaries.

Balances history page

The Balances history page provides a historical view of balances for all companies and bank accounts accessible to the current user.

By default, this page shows only Actual (active) records and excludes any Deleted records. To view all records—including deleted ones—use the Display All filter, which reveals both Actual and Deleted entries.

Deleted records are not shown by default but still exist in the system. These can be restored at any time using the Restore button or the back arrow icon located in the right-hand column of the table.

Please note: If a record is deleted from the Balances history page, it will also be removed from the Balances page. Restoring the record will reinstate it in both views, if applicable.
