Companies

The Companies screen lets you set up, manage, and organize your company structure within Tresio. It is designed to give you a clear, hierarchical overview of your business entities.

Here’s a breakdown of the columns displayed on the Companies screen:

  • Company name – name of the company
  • Include subsidiary – Indicates whether the subsidiary should be included in the planning
  • Comment – Comment on the company
  • Created At – Date the company was added

Creating a new company

To add a new company, click the + New button.

Fill in all required information (fields marked with * are required – Company name and Default currency).

Important fields:

  • Default currency – The company’s main operating currency
  • Parent company – Select a parent company to place this company within the organizational structure

Once you select a parent company for a company, it automatically appears indented underneath it in the list. Independent of that, the Include subsidiary checkbox on the parent company determines whether the subsidiary’s figures are consolidated into the parent’s cash-flow planning.

Note: whether subsidiary data is displayed can also be adjusted under TRENDS – see here

Editing or Deleting a company

To edit an existing company, click the pencil icon, which opens the edit window. To delete several existing companies, tick the corresponding checkboxes and click Delete. To delete a single company, click the trash icon next to the corresponding entry.

A company with assigned subsidiaries cannot be deleted. Remove or reassign the subsidiary companies first before deleting the parent company.

Export

Under Export, you can export the data to an Excel file or a PDF document, copy the data to your clipboard, print it, or export it as a CSV file.

Uploading multiple companies via Excel file

To add several companies at once, use the Upload option.

  1. Download the template – Click “Download sample Excel” on the top right to get a template with the correct column structure, and fill it in with your company data.
  2. Upload the file – Upload the completed file by dragging and dropping it into the marked field or selecting it via “Browse files”.
  1. Match the columns – After uploading, Tresio automatically matches the columns in your file to the corresponding fields. If your column names differ, you can correct the matching manually via the dropdowns. Required fields are Name and Currency.
  2. Choose the import mode – Decide whether the uploaded data should create new companies (“Create new company”) or update existing ones (“Update existing”).
  3. Finish – Click Save to complete the import.

Filter settings

Click the filter icon to open the view settings. There you can choose whether each column is shown – for example the Parent company column, which is hidden in the default “Active accounts” view. Then give the view a name under “View name” and click Duplicate to save your view.

Switching between companies

Most Tresio screens display a company selector at the top.

  • Click the drop-down list to switch between companies.
  • If you have many companies, a pop-up filter window will help you quickly find the one you need.
