Within Tresio’s data security and administration features, the “Backups” screen provides access to both backup management and the notification center in one place. This screen allows you to monitor data backups as well as view system notifications and error messages.
The screen can be accessed in two ways:
- via “Backups” in the left-hand menu, or
- via the notification bell in the top-right corner.
Whether backups are created automatically by the system or manually initiated by a user, they play a critical role in protecting data integrity.

Overview of the Backups & Notifications Screen
The screen displays both backups and system notifications in a single list.
The overview includes the following columns:
- Type – Notification type (Recommendations, Messages, Changes, Errors, Backups)
- Notification – Message containing the details of the notification
- Date – Timestamp indicating when the notification was created
- Attachment – Backup file, displayed as a paperclip icon
Filters above the list allow you to define which notification types are shown. The most recent filter settings are saved and automatically applied the next time you open the screen.

How Backups Are Created
Backups are created either automatically by the system or manually by a user.
Automatic Backups
- The system creates an automatic backup every night.
- If active integrations are configured, a backup is created before data is retrieved from external systems.
- In this case, the nightly backup is not performed.
Manual Backups
- A manual backup can be created at any time using the “Create backup” button.
- An optional comment can be added.
- A backup is only created if data changes have occurred since the last backup.

Viewing Backups and Restoring Data
Created backups are identified by a date stamp and displayed with a paperclip icon.
To restore data from a backup:
- Select the desired date.
- Click the corresponding paperclip icon.
- The system first creates a backup of the current data state.
- The selected historical data state is then restored.
⚠️ Note: During the restore process, the system is temporarily unavailable and you will be logged out automatically. Once the process is complete, you can log in again.

If a restore fails, an error message is displayed. In this case, you can contact the support team at any time.
Notifications and Error Messages
All system notifications—including backup information, warnings, and errors—are displayed in the Notification Center.
It can be accessed:
- via the notification bell in the top-right corner, or
- via “Backups” in the left-hand menu.
Within this screen, notifications can be:
- filtered
- marked as read
- exported (PDF / Excel)
- copied or printed
